Dance: Mach One Jazz Orchestra

Don’t let the name fool you. Mach One pushes the musical envelope far past the world of swing standards. They’re repertoire includes everything from Michael Jackson to James Brown, from Tina Turner to Stevie Wonder. Plus waltzes, cha-chas and just-the-right-tempo ballads. They bring something like 16 musicians, so let’s pack the Leif!

Back By Popular Demand — Peter and Lauren

These popular instructors drew such a large crowd when they taught the pre-dance lesson at our last dance that we’re bringing them back for this dance.

For this lesson, Peter Flahiff and Lauren Smith will preview something they’ll be teaching at Seabeck in less than a month: Balboa Fundamentals.

They’ll even slow the tempo down a bit to boost the amount you’ll learn in a single hour.

So come at 7 o’clock for another taste of what they’ll bring to Seabeck, and then dance to the Mach One orchestra starting at 8.
