Welcome to Seabeck
Whether you’re a returning, beloved dancer to SEABECK camp, or A ‘first timer’ (we love you new-comers), we welcome you with warmth, joy and dance!
Don your dance shoes, ignite your playful nature and come shine your light!
Welcome to our cozy, music-filled, dance extravaganza in the woods.
Flow through a weekend of dance and music to a wide variety of dances: Balboa, Blues, Cha-Cha, Country Cha-Cha, Country Two-Step, Lindy, Rumba, Shim Sham, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Cross-Step Waltz, and Latin Waltz.
Learn how to meld dance styles, such as Bachata/Merengue, One-Step/Foxtrot, and Tango/Nightclub Two-Step.
Enhance your dancing with specialty workshops that focus on body movement/isolations and pivots that are a part of many dances.
Why is Seabeck particularly dazzling this year?
We own the whole camp!
We’re loving scheduling the classes on the large floors, slumbering in the best rooms and making as much noise as we like at lunch. And dinner. And breakfast.
Let’s dance!
Our Radiant north stars:
Wren Newman and Scot McKay
This dazzling duo lights up the floor with Westcoast Swing mastery. Come learn new tricks, elegant styling & flow with the grooves.
Ari Levitt
Ari will bedazzle you with the ability to glide and twirl through nightclub two step momentum magic. Then, together, you’ll spark fire with the Blues.
Dean Paton
Dean illuminates the moonbeams of waltz — dreamy, sweeping, romantic. Foxtrot, pivots and a glittery cha cha emanate from this traveling-dance aficionado.
Jodi Fleischman
Set your dance partners and your hips ablaze with the red-hot motion Of bachata, merengue, cha cha cha and rhumba.
Sparks will fly.
Janice EKlund
The master of many dance forms, Janice’s brilliance is surpassed only by the warmth of her heart. Experience this amazing teacher.
Lauren Smith and Peter Flahiff
Flaming hot and glowing with rhythm, Peter and Lauren shimmer you into balboa styling and slow Lindy swivels.

Twinkling happy-hour party
Shine, shine, shine!
Cocktails, mocktails, laughter and sparkle galore… Commune with your new friends, dress-up if you choose, nibble and relax — always a fan favorite of Seabecks gone by.
This year’s theme: BRING THE LIGHT!
So pull out your bling, gold lamé, silver sequins and a light-glow wreath for your hair…
Think sunflowers, fireflies, bright white t-shirt and jeans, Ra the sun god, Chang’E the moon goddess, and Regulus the king-maker star.
Think glow-bands, glow-in-the-dark Long Johns, Christmas trees, Hanukkah menorahs, shooting stars, candles, glowing embers, lava, luminaries of science, art and culture… let your creativity go wild!
Anything that lights up—or lights YOU up!
We’re taking a sparkling, broad brush stroke of interpretation on this theme.
This little light of mine — I’m gonna let it shine!
Stay tuned…more ideas to come!
