Volunteering
June 12, 2024
Help! We have an urgent need for someone to help with scheduling workshops!
What makes Northwest Dance work? Volunteers! And we have a lot of fun doing it.
We have little tasks that won’t take up much time, and for those with bigger ambitions, larger roles that plan events, organize people, or help to guide the future of our wonderful community of dancers.
No matter what your skills, there’s always a place at Northwest Dance to be a part of the dance community.
Volunteers will tell you they’ve made new friends, are a part of something important, and have received an abundance of thanks from our members.

Committee – Participate in brainstorming and implementing new ideas
Workshops – Volunteer as needed to provide a balance of leads and follows

Board Member – This is a working board since we do not have an Executive Director. We are looking for people with professional skills. Working committees include marketing, events and dance management, recruiting, and fundraising.
Dancing for the Ages – Meet fellow dancers at retirement facilities around the area when live bands/DJs come to play and dance with the residents. This is an extremely rewarding position.
Dance Volunteers – It takes a community to put on a dance such as a setup, decorations, cashiers, shoe checkers, kitchen help, and closers. Volunteers gain free access to the dances that they work.
Newsletter Proofreader – Proof our weekly newsletter. Training available in Constant Contact.
New Year’s Eve Dance Coordinator – Coordinator for our annual NYE dance. Requires event planning experience, and attention to detail.
