Rockin’ in a Juke Joint – a Jukin’ Blues Workshop

In this first lesson, Lila and Dillon will discuss one of the two main categories of Blues dance: Jukin’. Jukin’ Blues was a group of stylings that were historically danced in juke joints across the United States. They will be focusing specifically on what differentiates Jukin’ Blues from other styles of partner dances. Dancers who take this workshop will leave with a toolkit of moves and grounding principles that are foundationally Blues.
